Tim Daly In New Project
Nielsen, Daly, Quinn in Dramatic 'Return'

Fri January 30, 2004 01:38 AM ETB
By Chris Gardner

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Connie Nielsen, Tim Daly and Aidan Quinn are set to star in "Return to Sender," an indie drama from director Bille August ("Smilla's Sense of Snow").

The project is shooting in August's and Nielsen's native Denmark and is scheduled to move to Oklahoma next week.

The project centers on a woman on death row (Nielsen). Daly plays a blind man married to the sister of Nielsen's character, with Quinn starring as a down-on-his-luck lawyer who befriends the incarcerated woman by mail. Kelly Preston also stars as a lawyer fighting to exonerate Nielsen's character.

Nielsen, whose recent credits include "One Hour Photo" and "Gladiator," next stars in "The Great Raid" for Miramax Films. Daly next stars in Paramount Pictures' "Against the Ropes."

Quinn next stars in HBO Films' "Empire Falls" and Showtime's "Cavedweller."
